Im 13./14. Jahrhundert als eine der vielen Stationen auf dem Pilgerweg nach Santiago de Compostela in Spanien erbaut. Die Chorturmanlage stammt aus dem 13. Jahrhundert, der Chor selbst ist mit einem Netzgewölbe versehen. Das Kirchenschiff wurde im 15. Jahrhundert erweitert und mit einer bemalten gotischen Holztonnendecke überspannt. In dieser Kirche wurde auch der kleine Theodor Heuss mitgenommen, und er erinnert sich später noch an das Lob für seine "Stillezeit".
